Anita Hill is a lawyer, professor, and advocate for sexual assault victims. At great personal risk she testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee in 1991 about the sexual harassment that she was subjected to at work from then supreme court nominee Clarence Thomas.
Her testimony raised awareness of the fact that this behavior was in fact a crime and helped normalize assault victims coming forward.
